how to acquire the resources and funding necessary to make

About Joshua Lask
I am the owner and executive director of The Hudson Valley Event Group. We are an event industry
company with a DJ Entertainment Division, a Photography / Videography Division, A Tent & Party
Rental Division and in 2024 we are opening up our Live Music Division. We perform / produce /
capture over 800 events a year and employ 8 Full timers and have 30 part time employees. I have been
in the event industry since 1999 and have built multiple event based companies. My passion is DJing,
my greatest skill is find the right people to do the right things.
I am proposing a business-oriented seminar focused on growing your small DJ company into an event
company. It will discuss how and when to grow, overcoming the fear that comes with growth, Proper
planning and quality control, positioning staff for growth and learning how to monitor the growth so
that you do not collapse.
I talk to DJs about the not so fun topics and I make it fun and relatable. I open their eyes to the
possibilities and potential that is out there for all of us. I have spoken at DJ Times / DJ X as well as
performed in the Entertainer of the Year Competition in 2019 (3 rd overall finish and 1 st place for best
new dance).
I am a retired NY State Paramedic, a Husband and a Father. I love to help people and my goal is to
educate and empower as many DJs as
